Spring Cleansing from the Inside Out By Maxine LeClerc

Spring is the perfect time to cleanse and detoxify, especially the liver, the organ associated with spring. Since the liver dumps directly into the colon, keeping the colon clean during any detoxification program enhances the body’s natural ability to cleanse.

Whether you choose a three-day juice fast or a 30-day cleansing program be sure to have a colonic to aid the body in eliminating toxins more rapidly.

Fasting helps rejuvenate and regenerate your body. Preparing your body for a fast is important. A certified colon therapist can help guide you in choosing a cleansing program that is appropriate for you and give you healthy tips on ways to begin and end a fast.

Eat and juice your greens for a livelier liver! Greens are the best food for the liver. Beet-top greens, chard, kale, collard greens, and spinach, to name a few, are all healthy vegetable choices. Try a spring tonic of parsley and dandelion juice!

In a world where dietary choices are poor, environmental pollution is heavy, stress levels are high, and exercise is often a last priority, internal cleansing is more important than ever for optimum health.

The body is a living, breathing machine. Like an automobile engine it burns fuel for energy (our food) and expels the by-products of that fuel as waste. Through time, all engines need “steam cleaning,” tune-ups, and periodic maintenance. The pipes become clogged, the spark plugs become congested, and oil, grit, and grime build up around the engine block. Without preventive maintenance our cars begin to perform poorly, eventually breaking down. The human body works the same way. Internal cleansing and detoxification are maintenance and insurance all rolled into one! We must keep our “pipes” cleaned out and in tip-top shape to experience quality of life.

What Is Colon Hydrotherapy?

Colon hydrotherapy is the gentle infusion of purified temperature-regulated water into the colon. No chemicals or drugs are involved. Introducing warm filtered water into the colon softens and loosens the waste, resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis. This process is repeated a few times during a session.

Colon hydrotherapy helps restore the colon’s muscle tone, rebalances intestinal flora, and improves overall well-being. Cleansing the colon means the body is then able to assimilate and absorb nutrients from foods more easily.

What can you expect from colon hydrotherapy? Many clients have reported more energy, clearer skin and eyes, increased elimination through kidney, skin, and bowel, relief from gas, and a toned and better-working bowel, which results in good health.

What is a colon hydrotherapy session like? A trained therapist gently and gradually introduces filtered water into the colon. When the filtered water is released, gas and fecal matter that was trapped in the pockets and folds flows out. This will be repeated several times during the session. A normal session lasts about 35 minutes.

Give your body a tax return this spring! Check out I-ACT.org, the International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy, to find a certified colon hydrotherapist in your area to help support you this spring in your detox program.

Women have a natural wisdom and compassion that is often distorted in an effort to follow or imitate masculine forms of spirituality and leadership. Women are formed with delicate yet powerful round edges. Our soft curved edges tell us that we are not linear by design – our power is in our roundedness. Rather than targeting our attention from point A to point B to accomplish point C, we gather information in concentric rings from many different sources at one time. Our feminine nature is receptive to sensation, feeling, intuition and thought from both our inner and outer environments. Our round form
