I have a new blog about a book I am writing on nonviolence and crisis intervention. I thought you might be interested in taking a look a new developing consciousness on applied nonviolence and personal conflict.

It’s become obvious in this day and age that we can no longer support religious and racial intolerance and violence. I too see that we, as a planet, are heading towards a shift of consciousness that will change everything; the question is can we change before some extremist sets off a nuclear device in hopes of spending an eternity with 72 virgins. In a recent pole, 22% of American Christian Fundamentalists are also waiting for and looking forwards to a holucoust of this type because it means we are getting closer to Jesus returning to save us…well, not all of us. It’s clear that Iron Age beliefs in an advanced technological society will not be conducent to a sustainable future.

Hi Lotus Guide readers. I’m working on my Ask Dr. Gayle column. How would you respond to this question from a 10-year-old girl? I’ll quote you. “How do I spend as much time with God as possible? Here’s what has come to me so far to get you started: Make rituals of thankfulness, like saying grace or prayers before each meal. It’s easiest to see God’s work in Nature, so look at the stars at night, take hikes in the hills, and swim in the creeks. Grow a garden, so you can enjoy seeing your plants grow and flower. If you don’t have a yard, use pots. If you don’t have a balcony, find out about community gardens. Thanks for your help, GK

Let me know if you would like to read answers from other countries. See myspace.com/globalyouthviewpoints for photos of schools and students on three continents.
