You can always depend on being part of a community of people who care, and in every issue we have cutting edge articles and interviews with people like Deepak Chopra, Bruce Lipton, Joe Dispenza, Marianne Williamson, Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, Lynn McTaggart, and others that make you think outside the box we've been forced in to. We also have a Community Email that goes out twice a month to over 6,000 residents.

Every issue is printed on heavy ultra-bright paper stock and has a glossy cover, front and back. The Lotus Guide is also "online" so your ad will get even more exposure.

Editorials & Columns by Experts

Each issue has a "Health & Nutrition" column that is locally orientated towards the needs of those in the area. Each issue also includes editorials by known writers, lecturer's, and speaker's in the area of science, meditation, spirituality, and more. We also have an on-going column by Barbara Brennan (Hands of Light), Ask Dr. Gayle, ECO-Logical, and our Astrology column by Alexandra. Calendar Of Events Each issue has a two month Calendar of Events which keeps the magazine viable throughout the two month period. As an advertiser you have preference to list your events in the printed Calendar.

Circulation

Circulation is 17,000 per printing with a reader to magazine ratio of 2.5 per issue making the readership 35,000. As of Jan, 2008 we average 200-300 magazines left over at over 250 locations, which is, in relationship to other magazines, amazing. Lotus Guide is distributed throughout the North Valley region through County Libraries, Chamber of Commerce, sports & health clubs, spas, health food markets and restaurants, coffee shops, and much more. We also have outdoor stands conveniently located in high traffic areas.

Demographics (Obtained from a survey of Butte County Residents)

Demographics show that of a population of 157,000, 54,950 attended college, 26,690 graduated from college, and 14,130 have advanced degree's. Well over half of Lotus Guide's target audience falls into these categories. The fact that our area is highly educated also explains the rapid growth and popularity of our website and the increasing value of the Online Holistic Guide. Our website is promoted by North Valley Online Business Directory, the North Valley's largest online business directory. Female = 81,640 and Male = 75,360. Occupation is predominately Managerial & Professional at 111,470. Lotus Guide recognizes the need in these times for communities that have a rapid population growth to grow and evolve spiritually. This can only come about through conscious action from those in the community. It's through spiritual awareness that we feel our own responsibility for, not only ourselves, but for those around us. Lotus Guide reserves the right to reject any advertisement that doesn't meet these standards, thereby maintaining the integrity of Lotus Guide magazine to continue to be a guide, in every sense of the word, for the community to come to for their mental, physical, and spiritual needs.

Testimonials

"The old statement that advertising pays is usually true, however, we have found 'enormous success' in our advertising with the Lotus Guide. Sales of advertised items increased dramatically and everyday customers come in and ask for "that product advertised in the Lotus Guide!" Locals supporting locals really is a win win situation and for us, this proves it."

Donald Payne, S&S Organic Produce, Chico, CA

Thank you Lotus Guide. I look forward to your front cover illustrations and your feature article every month. I love Ask Dr. Gayle and perusing all of the ads to see who is offering what kind of service. When I need support I go to the Lotus Guide first and see what awaits me when I open it. I always feel better after reading LG and appreciate the direction it provides. I check the ads as  much as the articles because I'm interested in knowing who is offering what kinds of services and what are the latest events that interest me. And most ads have beautiful artwork and give a taste of what is offered. Recently I attended your fund raiser and silent auction. I saw two great bands (Chocaloca and Ma Muse) and won a silent auction. I hope you make that an annual event. A few weeks ago I went to Grass Valley and was so happy to see the LG there too. I opened it up and found a telephone number of a practitioner I was in town to see whose number I had lost.  Very cool. Thank you.

Erica Charlesworth, Chico Bookkeeper

"We arrived in town in not knowing anyone and we wanted to build a client base as quickly as possible. Advertising in the Lotus Guide helped us to reach out to a wide audience of like minded people. After just one month our business is blossoming. Of all our advertsing dollars spent, the Lotus Guide has brought us the most return on our investment. Thanks so much for being here and being so ready to help newcomers to the Chico area."

Ira & Susie Greene, NAET Allergy Elimination Clinic
